This course covers:
The purpose of this course is to show users different ways to use PHP code and MS FrontPage simultaneously.
Although FrontPage and PHP aren't natural allies, they can be used together in a productive and comfortable way.
We'll discuss all the available work-a-rounds to using FrontPage to edit
and publish PHP.
We'll do a situation specific scenario for each way you may want to use FrontPage
and PHP together such as;
- Just a little PHP in an otherwise "regular" HTM/HTML web
- configuring, customizing a PHP application such as a shopping cart
- using PHP functionality in lieu of some FrontPage features
- (for instance if FrontPage server extensions aren't available)
Since we all have to work on client's websites right where they are, PHP is sometimes the only available server side scripting language available.
There's no reason to abandon the superior web site management functionality
and ease of use that are inherent to FrontPage. There's always a way to get
FrontPage to "play nice" with your
PHP code.
