Introduction to Illustrator is designed for students with little to no experience in digital illustration, or for those wishing to become more familiar with this versatile application. The course will cover the basics of computer illustration and its use in print and web-based media. Students will be introduced to the tools available in Adobe Illustrator, how to use them, how to work with objects, clip art and raster graphics as well as manipulating text, working with color and more.
The PeachPit Press QuickStart guides are available for Illustrator 10, CS and CS2 (coming soon), and I've found them indispensable. These books run in the $15.00 US range and can be purchased at barnesandnoble.com, amazon.com, peachpit.com (publisher's web site) or just about any bookstore.
