Maybe you've joined a mail list, newsgroup or just searched the web for tutorials on how to create a web page only to be met with a confusing list of terms with no explanation of what the writer was talking about. This entry level class is for those people who are interested in creating a web site but don't know the “language”.
HTML, XHTML, CSS, DWT, "standards", Doctype, W3C, Accessibility, and many more terms are casually tossed around frequently with no explanation at all. When an explanation is offered it may be in terms that are equally confusing.
Terminology when casually thrown out with the assumption that everyone knows what those terms mean can leave the “newbie” puzzled and confused. When a term you don't understand is explained with more terms you have not yet learned you can get discouraged and end up even more confused. Don't let those unknown terms intimidate you. This class will teach you who and what the W3C is, as well as define and give examples of the most commonly used terms.
This short course will take the mystery out of those web design terms and many more. To enroll in the free class follow the enrollment instructions
